Cloud Harness
Cloud Pulling is the oldest method of getting a ship off the ground. It uses a Rank 2 Primal Spell called Cloud Pull, which when performed by several casters at once can be used to get a ship off the ground.
A Cloud Puller is a respected job that’s had years of tradition. However, it’s slowly becoming more limited to local transport, as you have to doing cloud pulling constantly
Ichor
A classic use of Ichor is using it to make objects float. When Ichor is heated, it floats while dissipating into smoke. lifting whatever is around it.
When ships are built with a frame that has pipes on the bottom that slowly jet out this fume, it levitates the boat, allowing the boat to sail using the winds.
Core Drives
Core Drives are a relatively recent invention that are absurdly expensive due to the rarity of squibs.
A Core Drive is a Squib that was heavily modified using advanced occ=ult magic to generate energy, this energy with a specialized process can generate an effect like ichor that produces steam instead of smoke.
The main concern of piloting with a Core Drive is preventing it from overheating.
Sailing
