There are three main sapient ancestries. Notably, humans do not exist in this setting, and as such, most individuals refer to others as “people” as a catchall term.

The three ancestries are Fairies, Beasts, and Dragons. These beings appear cartoony and pastel-like in appearance.

Fairies

Fairies are characterized by their pink blood and a strong connection to nature magic. They encompass several sub-types:

  • Equine: This includes pegasi, unicorns, ponies, donkeys, and thestrals.
  • Ruminants: This group consists of deer, goats, sheep, gazelle, bovine, and other similar species.
  • Bugponies: A unique fairy subtype that combines equine and insect characteristics.

Beasts

Beasts have red blood and are often physically stronger than the other ancestries. The main types of Beasts include:

  • Griffons: Mythical creatures with the body, tail, and hind legs of a cat and the head, wings, and talons of a bird.
    • Hippogriffs: Griffon pony hybrids. Relatively common crossbreed.
  • Dogs: Unlike their real-world counterparts, these dogs stand on two legs.
  • Cats: A relatively rare Beast type in this world.
    • Sphinx: Cat crossbred with a Fairy Catlike creatures with some fey characteristics

Dragons

Dragons are distinguished by their purple blood and connection to arcane magic. They initially stand on two legs, but as they age, they evolve into a more traditionally draconic appearance.

Interbreeding and Relations

All three ancestries can produce offspring with each other, resulting in various hybrids with recessive hybrid genes. However, there is a traditional suspicion between Fairies and Dragons. While Esperanto attempts to alleviate these tensions, the often prejudice remains deeply ingrained in their respective cultures.
