Dragons are the rarest of the three sapient ancestries in Hanaq, recognized by their purple blood, scaled hides, and natural tendency to develop shadow abilities. Their forms are typically anthropomorphic. Dragons can live anywhere from 300-1000 years. As they age, their features become increasingly serpentine and immense, evolving into more traditional draconic proportions over time.
Dragon culture often prioritizes mastery, experience, and individualism over all else. Dragon culture varies from individual to individual, but many follow a loose hierarchy defined by age.
Relations
In the canopy of Hanaq, Dragons are an uncommon sight. Most live in hidden corners of the world, tucked into obscure ruins, abandoned ley lines, or isolated islands. Due to their rarity and often overwhelming presence, they are frequently misunderstood or feared.
Dragons are far more common in the feared Warden empire, which is led entirely by a small clique of competing dragon monarchs.
