Civrev is a 22-year-old unicorn oracle and founding member of the Fists of Mercy. A former member of the disbanded Stellar Seekers cult, Civrev possesses the rare and dangerous ability to wield divine magic, which he carefully conceals from the Coven and other authorities. His amnesia-inducing fall from the surface world to the underground Marrow Kingdom marked the beginning of his adventures with the group.

Background

Civrev originally belonged to the Stellar Seekers, a religious organization led by Shamesh that sought to understand divine magic and protect oracles from persecution. When the Wind Druids attacked and destroyed the Stellar Seeker settlements on Mercy, Civrev suffered amnesia after falling from the surface to the Marrow Kingdom below, where he was treated in Longfolia’s medical ward.

His memories gradually returned during his adventures with the Sock Pirates, revealing both his magical heritage and troubling information about Shamesh’s corruption and the cult’s darker practices. Despite these revelations, Civrev maintained his belief in the core teachings of the Stellar Seekers while rejecting their leader’s methods. His unusually large stature compared to other unicorns resulted from magical experimentation, though he initially blamed Ping Wing for this change to mask his embarrassment about the true cause.

Abilities

As an oracle, Civrev possesses divine magic that manifests as disorienting fractal patterns when activated. His abilities include sending dream messages to others on the same planet, casting healing and light spells, and various other divine manifestations. He learned stealth casting techniques from the ancient construct Fortuna, allowing him to disguise his divine magic as occult magic to avoid detection by experienced spellcasters.

Civrev exercises extreme caution with his abilities, understanding from experience the mortal danger divine magic users face from Coven persecution. His dark sunglasses serve both as a practical tool to hide his magical nature.

Exploits

Civrev joined the Sock Pirates during their escape from the Marrow Kingdom, using his divine magic sparingly to assist in combat while maintaining his cover identity. Throughout the Mercy Saga, he gradually recovered his memories while investigating the fate of his fellow Stellar Seekers, ultimately learning of Shamesh’s corruption and the organization’s destruction.

During their conflict with the Swamp Pirates, Civrev’s healing abilities proved crucial in keeping the group alive through numerous battles. His knowledge of divine magic also provided insight into the mysterious sphere of holy light that destroyed Littlewood, connecting it to potential Stellar Seeker activities.

In the Archibast Saga, Civrev successfully located Sweetbell, the last surviving Stellar Seeker, and worked to uncover the truth about Shamesh’s grimoires and their connection to the villain Vida. His investigation into his past culminated in recovered memories of the night Shamesh chose his “successor,” revealing the betrayal that led to Civrev’s fall from Mercy and providing closure to his search for answers about the Stellar Seekers’ fate.
